The Kitty Cat Klub on the U campus in Dinkytown is hands-down one of our favorite places to hang. Let’s start with the décor. Think Moulin Rouge movie set with a dash of Chatterbox Pub fun. Candles, lots of velvet plush seating, and a variety of sitting rooms create a cozy, low-key vibe. If you’re looking for a little more fun factor, then make sure to check out the back room, where you will find pinball and pool tables plus a photo booth for capturing the good times. With the mercury on the rise this time of year, you can also enjoy the campus night life from the side and front of house patios.

 

Did we mention that the KCK also features live music six days a week including many FREE shows? If you don’t want to take your chances on a band you’ve never heard of (ahem! We think you should but that’s a different topic), we promise you the ever popular “Hip Shaker” Friday nights will be well worth your time. 

 

Now let’s get down to that happy hour that is so mischievously absent from their website. From 4 to 7 p.m. seven days a week, you can enjoy $2-$3 select beers (think $2 bottles of Summit), $3 glasses of wine, $10 bottles of house chardonnay, and $15 bottles of house merlot. Although the KCK doesn’t have its own kitchen, these are friendly, accommodating folks and they aim to please. Annie’s Parlor menus are readily available and your burger and fries basket is delivered to your couch or table in no time flat. Yes please, is what we say!
