On the Spot

. . . . .

In our last issue, On the Spot focused on the tendency for our generation to bore easily and be all too willing to job hop to the next gig. We've been hearing from some of you who've asked for advice on how to make sure that your next hop has some height - meaning the moves you make have career advancement potential not just a new business card. There are times when we all have to ask, "When is a job change the smart thing to do for my career and my life?" Having interviewed hundreds of people during their careers at Certes Financial Pros, Director of Recruiting Rhonda Wirtz and Director of Client Services Dave Schneider have learned a thing or two about making smart and successful job changes. Read on to find out what they have to share!

Greg Brandt

Greg Brandt served on the Nextworking Steering Committee for three years while employed with Ernst & Young. Following five years in public accounting, Greg recently joined the Certes Financial Pros team as a Client Services Representative focused on recruiting for our Contract division as well as candidate and client relations.

"Be open to change and new opportunities. I knew I wanted a variety of work experiences in my career but I wasn't sure where to start. An opportunity with Certes presented itself and I'm glad I explored it. Working in the staffing industry has been a breath of fresh air for me and I enjoy the new and challenging responsibilities.
